Surviving the Quarantine

I have a full time job in the medical field, so I wont’ get to stay at home permanently unless I get sick, but I recently had four days in a row which I had to stay home. I normally never get to stay home more than one whole day, so by Day 3 I was a little crazy. So I have been thinking about ways to stay healthy during this quarantine.

Try to eat healthy.

If you are like me, you have some junk food in the pantry and it would be easy to snack on junk food all day. Try to get some veggies and fruits in daily at least as snacks.

Drink Water

Something else I always have in stock is soda and sweet tea and it is so easy to keep drinking that all day. Get some water instead. My personal rule is to only have tea and soda during meal times and get at least 32 ounces of water the rest of the day.

Get moving.

It is super easy to sit on the couch and binge watch all the shows but that is definitely not good for you. Take an outside walk or if it’s bad weather there are all kinds of activity videos on youtube, hard core workouts, dancing, or any other kind of activity you like.

Work on projects.

All those great ideas you saved on Pinterest. Go Do Them. You have been given time to what you have always dreamed of. It’s now or never!

Invest in your faith.

Right now the world seems super scary and you need to ground yourself in something positive. There are a ton of Bible reading plans if you don’t know where to start.

This time doesn’t have to be negative. Use this as a break from the craziness to get back the things that truly matter.
